We consider protecting your privacy as one of our major responsibilities, and in no case are we willing to make compromises on privacy and security.

How we work!

You may think of we-r-you as a rented apartment! No one, including your landlord, has the right to enter into your apartment without your permission. This is your private residence and you should have a reasonable expectation of privacy and quite enjoyment. Similarly, we-r-you merely hosts your data. But YOU own your data, and it is not our business to INTRUDE, MINE, or seize it in any manner.

Beyond our ideological beliefs, we are not in the business of trading your data for revenue because of our strictly ad-free policy. Also, we believe that no one has the right to break into our system and alter or steal your data, and, to these ends, we have designed our system with the utmost security in mind.

Since we believe difficult to understand privacy policies are not written to protect your privacy, we have made sure that our policy is short and concise.

Our key principle is that YOU OWN YOUR DATA, meaning:

• You can permanently delete it from our servers whenever you wish without leaving traces.
• Your private communications are untraceable.
• We do not throw bananas at your face, meaning NO behavioral targeting. We have a strictly ad-free environment. We will never sell, rent, or trade your private data (though under certain promotional events or services, and only after your express permission, this may be required in limited fashion). Nor will we share it with a third-party, unless this is required for law enforcement.
• YOU control who can see you, and what they can see about you. YOU control who can communicate with you and how they can communicate with you.
• We enforce all measures necessary to prevent individuals or organizations from breaking into your private data.
• We do not control content regarding topics on the freedom of public or private expression within the system, nor will we allow a third-party to impose censorship.
• A strictly spam-free policy. We will not spam you and we will not allow other members to spam you. If this happens please notify us immediately!

What information we collect, and what we do to protect you

Required personal information
Name, username, email address, password. All passwords are stored on our server in encrypted form; this means that passwords cannot be viewed by anyone, not even by us. If you forget your password we will create a temporary password for you to use to login.

Optionally entered information
This is any data you enter optionally to build up your profile (gender, date-of-birth, contacts details, textual profile descriptions, and files). YOU control who can review this information, not us.

Aggregate data
Transactional data like number of logins. This data is anonymous, as it is automatically aggregated with data from all users. Its purpose is to help us diagnose problems and ensure that we provide the best service to our members, but does not specify individual user preferences.

Only in cases in which you specifically request us to do so for customer support purposes, or is required by law, will we access your information.
